Honestly, I think he's got a case. Not saying he actually has a snowballs chance in hell of winning it but he does have a case. He's previously applied with at least 3 teams as a hitting coach & was turned down each time. How could anyone NOT want to learn hitting from Bonds & yet give a career 260 hitter like McGwire job after job? JMO.
If I were him, I would think very carefully of the ramifications of this... This will not help his HOF chances which are hurting as it is because of all the roids he took... Whether he has a case or not, a chance or not, it's just stupid... what does he hope to gain?
Bonds doesn't have much of a chance at the Hall anyway, because a bunch of paper pushing pansies who have never played the sport have deemed themselves judge and jury…until Papi reaches a ballot. A bunch of hypocrites who never batted an eye when the Sosa/McGuire show was on tour with Selig in a "chicks dig the long ball" tee. Bonds has a case for sure and if he feels he's being wronged he should fight full bore. As Rick mentions, McGuire, who should be the real face of steroids and lied in testimony to congress continues to work int he league. Weird.
