Ive read in the paper the other day that the reason Boom didn't get cut is because he works hard everyday through out practice. Silias seems to want to improve Boumtje-Boumtje's jump shot just like he worked with Boozer's. He is only 25 and is a 7 footer that Silias seems to like.
I hope Boom Boom is like a seed. You plant it, nuture it and see it bear fruit a little bit later. I've noticed since Silas has not used Diop much for a recent stretch of time, the Cavalier's true center rotation has been cut to Z/Battie exclusively. If Boom Boom does well, he could potentially move ahead of the rarely used Diop. Some people have spoken real harshly about Boom Boom. So if any Boom Boom experts are here, give me the scope on his game.
He's really not costing us anything, so if Silas sees something, we may as well keep him aboard incase there is a injury crisis! As long as he tells good jokes in the locker room or just sounds funny, he's a keeper for the rest of the year!

Easy answer for this one... Boom Boom is Silas's secret playoff weapon. I think that Silas has taken him under his wing and decided to teach him how to play the game. The only problem is...right now...we don't need him. We are playing excellent basketball. We will get into the playoffs and Silas will put Boom Boom in...mark my words. He will kill the opposition. I have faith. Burn
If Silias hasn't played him since we aquired him, we definatly will not use him during the post season. Boom-Boom will stay in contract next season and will be helping with rebounds and defensive purposes next year off the bench.
I don't believe Silias will cut him. If he is a hard worker, he should definatly be rewarded another season.
^I think Silas will, but if things is like you say, I don't think he will cut him. But I don't think Silas will keep him thought.
Boumtje Boumtje repays Silas with hard work Boumtje Boumtje repays Silas with hard work <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">New Orleans- Ruben Boumtje Boumtje will likely remain on the injured list and not play a minute for the Cavaliers this season. But coach Paul Silas hasn't given up on the 25-year-old center. "From day one, coach has worked with me on my shot," said Boumtje Boumtje [pronounced boom-shay boom-shay]. He's stuck with me, and my shot has improved. He shows that he cares about every single person on this team." That care has meant hundreds of shots after practice for Boumtje Boumtje, who was acquired from Portland along with Jeff McInnis in a trade for Darius Miles. Silas said Boumtje Boumtje, a 7-footer, is a raw talent whose skills have to be refined. That will include plenty of work over the summer, but for now, Silas wants to improve Boumtje Boumtje's shot. "I figured if I could change Carlos Boozer's shot, I could change his," Silas said. "His shot was horrible. Once a guy changes his shot and becomes competent, he becomes more confident. This guy works and he shoots every day. It's hard to bring him off the court. . . . This kid always works."</div> Full story *Sorry about the double-post KJ*
