Josh was totally awesome last night. He out-rebounded Howard and held him to ZERO offensive rebounds. Nice job there.

he also slept on defending the paint on the Hedo lay up, that gut punched the game momentum yesterday.

Nope... Marcus didn't step out and Boki also could have rotated over from the weakside. I watched that play a few times last night. Unless I'm thinking of a different play. That picture sure doesn't look like the one I'm thinking of.

the one when Frank took the timeout after and he was clearly screaming at Boone, Marcus had nothing to do w/ this play it wasn't even a pick n roll Hedo did a B-line straight into the paint Boone stayed looking after that the momentum was taken from the Nets.

There were 2 Hedo layups. One with around 6:30 left that tied the game and another around 4 minutes left that gave Orlando a 2 point lead. I think the one you are refering to was the first and I'm refering to the second one.

Netted it was at 4:08, after that LF takes a 20 rims Boone for sleeping on D,after that they set up Marcus for a midrange shot he just missed it, Hedo then w/ a hand in his face hits 3 which walked btw ! thanks refs for not seeing that ! after that RJ drove to the paint offensive foul, RJ then sends Hedo to the line as he attempted another layup Hedo hits the FTs down 7, VC comes back w/ a midrange shot down 5, RJ had to help defend Howard and he sends him to the line DW hits 2 FTs ..now down 7 again.

Boki missed a wideopen baseline shot, rebounds his miss, then misses a lay up, Carter rebound misses a tip shot ...that sequence killed us

boone did the right thing he couldnt leave dwight howard alone to go block that shot, someone else is supposed to rotate, definitely not boone whose assignment for the game was keep ur body on howard and dont let him free, which he did for the most part of the game

no way Dwight gets a pass there, he had Hassel blocking the passing lane, Boone fell asleep how freaking hard is that for people to admit, his goof took the momentum away.

I must be mixing the 2 up. The other at 6:30 was a pick and roll situation wear Hedo got around Boone and Marcus gave him a free lane to the rim and Boki didn't rotate from the weakside.

Boone is the better man to man defender but we have to have a shot blocker or someone with long arms to help out when they drive into the lane.

Blame Frank for that. IMO he should've had another big in the game, such as Sean, Diop, or Swift, to defend the paint while Josh defends Dwight. Boki was pretty useless out there when he was missing shots.

This game was poorly coached by Frank. And poorly officiated. And everyone but Boone played like shit.

Josh basically matched Howard- 17 and 10 for Howard, 12 and 11 for Boone. It's not fair to expect him to do that AND help out on other guys. Howard has been one of the best players in the NBA this season.

No offense but this is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. The fact is that Boone is constantly left on an island by himself by Frank. We are 5 deep in the frontcourt with solid players yet he uses 1 big man and instead opts to insert Hassell or Boki at Power Forward.

That's dumb as hell. It worked in Phoenix because the goal was to outscore people...It doesn't work when your attempting to play as a defensive team.

If Boone leaves Howard, Howard scores...everyone underestimates how fast the dude is. If Boone had been in there with either Swift o Swat the scenario might've been differnt.

To expect Boone to guard both Howard and the Lane is ridiculous...Frank is incompetant and honestly I want him off this team before he ruins these players confidence.

Boone actually was a disappointment at UConn...it's one of the reason's that a preseason top 5 possibly number 1 pick falls all the way to 23 at the end of the year.

Marcus carried UConn on his back, especially in the postseason...it was one of the underrated performance of the year...btw I'm so glad they lost to George Mason. If they had won we might not have gotten either of them as there stock might've been higher.

You are talking about the JR Year's, I talking all 3 years. Boone was one of the Rookies of the Big east, he was also 2nd team DPOY his 2nd year. He fell off his 3rd year according to Calhoun cause he was still trying to decide on to go or not. Calhoun did say Marcus carred the team in year 3.

I still wanted Uconn to win another NCAA. In a way it was good like you said cause we ended up with Two huskies.
