<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Whale_Dog:</div><div class="quote_post">The best hustle player in the league imo.</div> Heck no! Certainly not on the defensive end. What a big blow to the Cavs. They have hopes of matching the offer though. If they make some trades to clear up some space.
What were the Cavs thinking making Boozer an unrestricted FA? They just screwed themselves letting Boozer go like this. They have to work out something to be able to get him back, and it aint going to be easy. Boozer was among the top PF's in the league last season in rebounding and he was only getting better after 2 seasons in the league. BIG loss for the Cavs.
Actually, Boozer was a restricted free agent. They released him because they were going to give him a pay raise of $5 million per season. He told them he would resigh for the MLE, but instead, he stabbed them in the back by taking bigger bucks in Salt Lake City. This has got to be a crushing blow to an overachieving team that showed signs of making the playoffs next season. But in reality, it won't make much difference when Lebron leaves Cleveland high and dry for greener pastures (or should I say more marketable lands such as NYC or Lala land)...
Now I can handle, very hard for me right now to not just go and hide in a cave, but i'm not. I right now I don't want to think about LeBron because when that day comes, and if they can't resign him, well...I don't want to think about that day. As for boozer, I feel pissed at him, I feel VERY pissed at Jim Paxson, and I feel the sense of irony. He just blew us off to go to UTAH! He is a trator and I feel that I can't believe any athlete now. I hope he goes and hurts himself in the OLY because quite frankly he deserves it. Although I am mad a Boozer, I SHOULD AND AM VERY PISSED AT PAXSON! For the money that they signed both Ollie and Newble, which is both a like 5 year $5Mil a year contract, if you do that math, They would be able to sign Boozer. And lastly, I should be this mad because I do live in Cleveland and we are never going to win a title, but we, as clevelanders thought that we would be able to win one with this team, but I knew it was too good to be true. Excuse me, I'm getting ill thinking about this.
The Cavs wanted to sign him for a long term deal. There was supposed to be an agreement between the two parties. Apparently not.
If the Cavs want to match this contract expect a huge salary move between our roster. Mabey Z and Wagner will be traded within the next 2 weeks.
If the Suns strike out on Quentin Richardson they are looking for a C and DWag could back up Nash for awhile. They also have a future first rounder to spare (Bulls via Deng trade). I think the Cavs made a huge mistake by trying to be nice to Boozer, he definitely stabbed the Cleveland organization in the back, but can you blame him? The Cavs wanted a long term deal at only the MLE, Boozer knowing he was worth more than that decided to take the bigger number.
Boozer better come down with something when he returns to Cleveland if he signs with Utah, he will be lit up with Boo's this time it's not going to be because of his name. Utah doesn't deserve him, they already had their shot with a outstanding PF and they blew it, they don't deserve another chance!
bad move by the cavs, they should of offered him more dough...he is going to be awesome next year in Utah...I think Cleveland needed Boozer to make the playoff.s
Just to let you guys know, the Cavs have 15 days to match the offer so their is still time, just don't think that Z and Boozer will both be in the Starting line-ups next year because one or the other will be gone
true.. but still one is gone... i say trade z too suns and atleast get marion and maybe have room too sign boozer.
Paxon is a fawking idiot. I verbal agreement isn't a agreement to anything. You have to flash the cash. Pax is a cheapo and with a GM like him we aren't going anywhere in the Eastern Conference.
Pax should be fired because he gives up to much money to the below average free agents he signed for multi-mil for 5 years *Newble, Ollie*
