Cleveland Cavaliers? forward Carlos Boozer is the recipient of the NBA Community Assist Award for the month of March. Not only has Boozer had tremendous success on the court due to his hard work and commitment to the game, but he takes that same focus with his endeavors in the Cleveland community. He regularly makes community appearances at schools to speak with students, is an active member of the Read to Achieve national and local All-Star Reading Teams, meets with community groups attending games, and takes time to meet any child with whom he comes in contact.

During the month of March, Boozer spoke with 100 student-athletes and school leaders from North Royalton High School (North Royalton, OH) about the importance of education, goal-setting and leadership skills and visited the Cleveland Botanical Garden to read to more than 200 children and their parents. </div>

Always good to see NBA players being recognised for there works with the community. The more this is publisised, the more likely NBA players will get involved and help the kiddies. They are a huge influence whether they like it or not.

    Props to Booz!
