The talented forward seemed to indicate he could see himself in a Raptors uniform for the long haul. "I think everything is falling in place right now," Bosh, a second-year pro, said yesterday, during a lengthy chat with reporters yesterday. "It's getting to the point where in the near future it could be my team. I think everybody in the NBA wants to pursue something like that and have that chance. I'm going to have that chance real soon, so that makes me happy." </div> Source Chris Bosh you just made my day
This is very good news, of course if he isn't pulling our legs, which I doubt cos he's a good kid. However, I don't think it's an option to change management/coaches because if we do, I think he'll just get fed up with this BS. (I also assume that we would pay him the max contract, how much would that be?)
I know a lot of players say this and it doesn't happen, I think he wants to stay, but we need to build a good team around him, and limit all these off-court problems with the team, unless he's going to want to leave when his contract expires.
Well you could see it coming. Right now Bosh is a center of a franchise, it rests on his fragile young shoulders. The Raptors have showed trust in him while he was young, and people said he is not gonna make it in the NBA. THey rely on him, without him they barely win. Why would you want to leave a team that is young (relatively), and full in developement, which promises to be a contender in 2/3 years.
Max contracts are about 10.5 to 12 mill a year depending on how many years in the NBA you got... so Bosh he'll probably range from 10.5 to 12 mill a year but now that the collective bargaining agreement contract is at the end of this season things may change...
