WHEW ... one less worry. Huge news for us and what better timing than a day after our last game of an abysmal season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Raptors fans got the four words they wanted from all-star forward Chris Bosh today: "I'll gladly come back," Bosh said, confirming he'll sign a lucrative six-year contract extension this summer. The 22-year-old said he reached his decision after meeting Thursday morning with president and general manager Bryan Colangelo, and being convinced that the new GM can turn around the fortunes of the struggling franchise. Bosh will be the centrepiece of the team as it tries to move into prominence in the eastern conference. The Raptors finished the season Wednesday night in Chicago, losing to the Bulls to finish with 27 wins and 55 losses, their fourth successive year out of the playoffs. "My whole thing is 'why not?' " said Bosh, who as a three-year pro was entering into an offseason in which the Raptors had exclusive negotiating rights. "I have a chance to have my own team, be a leader on the team and challenge myself to bring it back up." </div> Link - <font color=""Red"">Click here</font>
I saw his interview with the Score and I was very pleased right when he said, "I don't want to take the easy way out."
Great news. Bosh must have been convinced after talking with Colangelo. Things are looking up. Time to go out and get a Bosh jersey.
It's just a shame the news came on the same day the Leafs fired Patt Quinn. Nothing like the MLSE stealin' their own thunder.

Great News! I can finally get this off my mind, what a sigh of relief for Raptor fans, we lost 10 games in a row without Bosh, showing how bad we need this guy.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dtpxcore:</div><div class="quote_post">ahh damn it</div> i guess now we will have to wait for the 09 plan
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NTC187:</div><div class="quote_post">Just remember what happened to Cleveland with Carlos Boozer.</div> Bosh would still be under contract, even if he didn't sign this extension. I knew Bosh would be back anyway, he's not one to back down from a challenge.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting spyware:</div><div class="quote_post">I think everyone just wants Toronto to self-destruct or something, hehe.</div> There's a lot of hate towards the Raps and Toronto for some reason.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Franchise4Ever:</div><div class="quote_post">Good news for Raptors, bad news to everyone who wanted him. I wanted to see him in NJ too.....</div> of course you did. name one team that WOULDNT want bosh. i think we all knew this was comming. bosh hinted at it before, and the colangelo signing pretty much sealed the deal. the reinging exec of the year isnt going to let a player of bosh's caliber walk away. i wouldnt be surprised if this annoucment was part of a plan to attract free agents, and generate some sort of hype of things to come in toronto. with colangelo at the helm, and bosh as our franchise player, sprinkle in one of the best cap situations in the league...toronto's situation is looking pretty good right now id say
BC inherited a team in pretty good shape ^ Meanwhile everyone's convinced Babcock was crap, obvioulsy he wasnt that bad given the Raps bright bright future. That said I'm glad BC is here.
