Cleveland Scouting Report:-Obviously, the offense revolves around the one and only, LeBron James. He is simply an amazing player. he can score 40 on you or dish out 12 assists, virtually unstoppable. The best thing you can do is double him and hope to rotate quickly. It used to be where you didn't have to worry about his teammates, but now, with the emergance of Drew Gooden, the good play of Larry Hughes and other role players, this team is dangerous. Not to mention the solid Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Their weakest point is definitely the bench.Keys to the Game:-Execute Offensively. Cleveland isn't a team that forces a ton of turnovers. They rebound well and play straight up defense, so we'll have to find mismatches and take advantage of them.-Everybody, crash the boards! We're desperately undersized in this game, and Drew Gooden is averaging 12 rpg last time I checked. we'll need as many extra opportunities as we can get, while limiting cleveland's.-Take advantage of the weak bench. Our bench needs to come out with some fire to try and close the deficit. Cleveland has a weak bench that we should be able to exploit.Key Match-up: vs. Paul Pierce vs. LeBron James-Who did you think it was going to be? this is a great match-up every time these two teams play. need I remind of last year's game? Pierce had 50 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. LeBron filled that statline with 44 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. All this in a double OT thriller game.X-FactorRajon RondoLike I said, the bench needs to come up big in this one, and I think Rondo can lead this bench tonight. He'll be the playmaker obviously, setting everything in place. If Gerald plays tonight, he will certainly benefit from Rondo being on the floor.Prediction:I'm not liking the Cs chances in this one. Cleveland is playing great, and LeBron will likely be too much. in the words of Dave Elkins, "It'd take a miracle, so that's what I'm praying for."
Yeah I don't see a W tonight either, especially with no Al and maybe no Bassy. LeBron and Pierce always have great matchups, so that should be fun to watch. Their guards are much bigger than ours though, which will cause problems (especially when Hughes is at the 1). Big Z is just too big for us, and Gooden is averaging like 17 and 11. I don't see us winning the game. Doc, this is NOT the night to go super small. I would try to have either Theo, Perk, or O in the game at all times.
***CELTICS INJURY UPDATE*** - Sebastian Telfair is ok, he is starting tonight. <span style="color:#FF0000">- Theo Ratliff will not play (lower back) - Wally Szczerbiak will not play (sore back)</span> Gerald is going to get some run tonight (he BETTER).
This game is airing on one of our sports networks.Wow! Boston up 10-0. Nothing is going for the cavs. All of the Celtics are making their shots so far also.
Great first half. We are up by 14, and get this - Paul Pierce is scoreless! (plus no Wally). - Telfair has been excellent. - Gerald Green scored 8 points - Gomes playing well - Perk doing well - Pierce has 8 boards at the half - Rondo played pretty well - Delonte knocked down some shots Excellent 1st half, I'm pumped right now. 24 minutes to go though, I'm not getting too excited. GERALD GREEN! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ElMaster @ Nov 11 2006, 07:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The game has been really boring so far..I hope the Cavs heat up soon.</div> You have no idea how many smiles this line would bring to Celtics fans lol.
I'm loving this so far. we're executing offensively, but most encouraging, we're playing pretty good defense. We're forcing Cleveland to shoot from the outside, and thank god they're missing.did anyone else notice how quickly Gerald's confidence rose after hitting that 3? it was like magic, I wish he'd come out with that swagger every night.this is great. the only player actually doing bad is.... you guessed it, brian scalabrine. all that guy does is foul! :ranting:
is lebron still not trying cavs fans?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Larry Hughes @ Oct 10 2006, 08:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Are you for real?Lmfao, if we both kept are starters in as long the cavs would of killed please Cavs are by far better then Boston and during the season when our starters play longer and when LeBron James trys we will see who is laughing.Go party with your lil "Pre Season" win LMFAO :HAHAHA:</div>haha

The Celtics choked so badly that they need to be slapped on the back Christ. I turned it off after I saw the Celts were dominating to watch Pacers vs. Bulls. I went back, and I almost spit out the Pepsi I was drinking. Lebron James f*cking took over. Plain and simple. The guy is a freak.
It also doesn't help that the NBA is f*cking deepthroating the kids dick. Yeah he's good, but seriously, everyone is allowed a step, and this guy is allowed a step, jumpstop, and another step? F*ck, I hate LeBron James. As good as the guy is, the NBA is making me f*cking hate him with a passion. Also F*ck Doc Rivers. Please go die .
yeah, lebron got away with more than one travel. and ot be fair, we shouldn't have won this game to begin with. but f*cking christ, finish a game!!! :ranting:
It sure doesn't seem like Doc will make it through the seson alive. The question now is: When will he be fired?
I hope he gets fired within the next minute. Seriously, I hate for Doc to have to go through this, he's a good guy, just not the guy for this team and I hope he understands when we kick him the F*ck out of here.
