Free agent center Brad Miller hopes to make a decision regarding his future by the end of the week, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein.

"There's a lot of people pursuing Brad," Bartelstein said during a phone interview.

Miller's name has been mentioned as a possibility in both Boston and Miami over the last couple of weeks, with both teams showing interest in the center, but if the Bulls make the right offer the veteran big man would probably like to return. He was a very popular figure in the locker room last season and came on strong down the stretch after struggling to find his groove at the beginning of the year.

Also, the Bulls have the cap space to offer Miller the type of deal that neither the Celtics nor Heat can probably offer at the moment, because of the other high-priced deals they've made recently.

"[Miller] loves it in Chicago," Bartelstein said.

Luis Scola is considering two offers from teams in Europe

    http://twitter.com/HoopsUpdates

If he goes to Europe, then look for Houston to over pay a bit to get Miller. For those of us that want to see Brad resign, this could be bad news if it happens.

Why don't we go after Scola?

Because what the bulls really need is a fifth guy who can play PF....

Boozer, Gibson, Noah, Asik and Scola would make 5. Really, you couldn't figure that one out?

In other words, we'd have 4 guys to play 2 positions and a D Leaguer (Asik).

And only two of those have offensive skills.

Gibson has skills. But seeing as how Boozer would take up 36 minutes leaving only 12 to Gibson who deserves 20, there really isn't any room for Scola is there. And no, Scola isn't a C, he's 6'9".

    Charles Barkley wasn't a PF, he's only 6'4". Wes Unseld wasn't a C, he was only 6'7".

Scola is listed at 248 pounds. and as a F-C by NBA.com. 82games.com says he played 25% of Houston's minutes at C.

Taj got a lot of minutes last season, yay. Do you tire of watching guys like Chris Richard playing 10 minutes a game because we have nobody else?

Boozer's going to be playing C for 12 minutes a game, at least.

Any one of our guys gets injured for 10 games, and our lack of depth will be quite apparent.

Right, so we should stock up on PF's. And start some D-leaguer at SG.

And if Yao isn't hurt, Scola plays 0% of his minutes at C.

If we get Redick, we'll be playing bench players at SG, not D Leaguers.

Boston had 5 bigs last season: Perkins, Garnett, Big Baby, Sheed, and Scalabrine. How'd they do in the finals after Perkins was injured?

I overlooked the Celtics' 6'9" PF Sheldon Williams.

they were up 13 points in the second half and would have won if they could have found a way to keep Kobe shooting. They played better without Perkins.

So having a quality backup C was a good thing.

If you call Sheed standing out at the 3pt line a backup C. They played their best with Big Baby in and went small. Wow, maybe the bulls should just sign the rest of the FA PF's. The Allen's absolutely stunk it up at SG. No SG's for the bulls, just Rose and four PF's. Maybe you're on to something here, Denny...

Not necessarily. What I do believe is that if you had 12 guys as good as LeBron, nos. 6-12 would be role players, but enormously skilled ones.

I'd rather have the most skilled players possible, then figure out a lineup that works with those guys. Like when the Bulls had no SF but had Gordon, Hinrich, and Duhon and those three played a LOT at the same time.
