Am I the only one who thinks this? He couldnt beat any decent team last season and so far this season its more of the same, plus Michigan State has his number. Seems like more of a product of the Notre Dame hype then anything else IMO, sure he has all of the Tools but he just cant seem to put them all togeather against a decent team.

It'll be Troy Smith. :beerbang2: :beerbang2: :beerbang2: :beerbang2:
None of the above. Best QB in the draft is Brian Brohm, even with being injured. He is head and shoulders above the rest of the class IMO.
Brohm doesnt get enough media and credit though playing in Louisville. I can see him being in a Cutler sort of position come draft day. Troy Smith, if he declares, will most probably be the #1 QB on many of the teams draft boards, if not all. Especially, if he wins the Heisman, which if the season ended today, he would be the frontrunner.
As much as I dislike Notre Dame,Saying Brady Quinn isn't the best quarterback is a bit premature. He's working with an NFL offensive guru already so he knows how to run an NFL offense.Unlike Troy Smith, he doesn't have a blazer in Ted Ginn but instead has position receivers like Samardzjia.Troy Smith is still a running quarterback, sure he can make a few passes but hes still a primarily mobile quarterback. Defenses respect he can run so they don't have everyone in pass coverage and have 1-2 QB spies. If he wants to be drafted as the number quarterback, he has to show he can pass. He's no Vince Young, yet and never will be physically. He still hasn't shown the take over a game ability. Kinda reminds me of a faster Daunte Culppepper. Cannon arm and speed but a fast speedy WR makes him look like a great passer. He still has to show underneath, 3 step drop, and etc. before we can say he's the #1 "QB" in the nation. Personally, I think Pat White of WVU will be a better version of Troy Smith 5 years down the road. Smith is good but gotta show me more passing wise before I say he should be converted to WR/RB like most mobile college QBs.Right now, I would take Brady Quinn over him. If he had a line and a better defense that could keep teams from driving down the field, Quinn would be much more efficient. He's already got knowledge from Charlie Weis so his head should be ready. Basically, he should be NFL ready mentally and physically.
Smith>QuinnGinn>Smardzja (sp?)I hope Smardzja decides to play football. If he decides to pitch for the Cubs, his arm will get ruined for life, and he won't be able to do either sport.
