I don't know if it's a "could", I think it's a "will". Brand will get a contract just as big, so he wouldn't really be turning down anything. It's smarter to opt out and get more security. Some people will say he just came off an injury, so teams might not offer him as much, and all I can say to that is please. Everyone knows what he can do, this isn't some rookie. Nene got a big contract after a year of doing hardly anything, Brand will get the big money if he opts out and won't lose anything.</p>
