Anyone heard any recruiting news on Brandan Wright? I know he attended UNC's Midnight Madness on Friday night and I have a feeling that after he experienced UNC's excitement level in hoops, that it will lure him in. I was hoping Tubby would get him but its not looking too good...

Wright, the No. 5 ranked player in the Rivals150, not only took the visit but committed to the Tar Heels on Sunday following the visit.</div> http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=467427
Wow, I really believe that North Carolina has a class that could be just as good, if not better, than Ohio States. Seriously, if Thad Young commits there, you can just hand them the trophy for '06. Horrible news...
Roy just keeps bringing them in doesn't he. I have to say honestly I thought Kentucky had him for a while but it's going to be great to see him wearing Carolina blue come 06. Man what a class we are having so far, it's like the Felton-McCants-May class only better.

Tyler Hansbrough has to feel bad that Brandan Wright will be a Tar Heel next year, because this just puts pressure on Hansbrough to have a huge freshman year. But Wright's not going to just come right in and start IMO, because UNC has a lot of young talent that's going to get solid minutes this season and I believe guys like Frasor, Green, Hansbrough, etc are all going to get better as the year progresses. BTW, Thad Young's father said today that Young was down to Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and Arkansas. All signs point to him commiting to Arkansas, though.

I'd love to see an Ohio State verses North Carolina matchup in 2006 with Hansbrough verses Oden and what not.
Brandan Wright backup? Haha, no way. North Carolina doesn't have that kind of talent. Marvin Williams came off the bench because they had Rashad McCants; Bobby Frasor is no Rashad McCants. In college basketball, Wright and Hansbrough will be able to play three different positions. I'm sure that coach Williams will be able to find a way to play them both. By the way, C.K., the matchup to see would be Wright vs. Oden. Hansbrough is definitely one of the best incoming Freshmen, but I've seen both him and Wright play, and I think that Wright is a much better player and bigger pro prospect. He's got to be the biggest recruit that North Carolina has gotten since Raymond Felton. As for Thaddeus Young, he has said that he's only going to play for a black coach. Imagine if a guy like J.J. Redick came out and said, "I chose Duke because Coach K is white; Georgia Tech's coach was just too black for me." He said Thaddeus had narrowed his list of colleges to three, eliminating Memphis. Only problem: Thaddeus didn't agree. "Right now, it's Memphis, Kentucky, Georgia Tech and Arkansas," Thaddeus said. "I've cut it down to four." Dad says three. Son says four. Why the disagreement, kid? "My Dad, he kind of wants me to play for a black coach," Thaddeus said. </div> http://reg.commercialappeal.com/mca/web/lo...4166229,00.html Unf*ckingbelievable!
