Ok, I don't know who this guy is, but I read on another forum that he is from NBDL, I don't know why we're bringing in so many point guards, but I hope they know what they're doing, if you know anything about this guy or any comments please post, I'm really interested in learning about the things he can bring to the team!

That article is very well written, and covers our successful transition from a 6-11 record to the 20-17 we are at now. Regarding Knight, he was the starting point guard for the University of Pittsburgh from 98-02. He is a good passer, good at steals and is not a bad three-point shooter. In 18 games in the NBDL this season, Knight is averaging 10 points and 5 assists per game as Asheville's starting point guard. From his collegiate accolades, he seems to be a similar to Barrett; both are uptempo guards, undersized and good perimeter shooters. His signing does stack us at point guard though, and I guess two of Ward/Barrett/Knight will be banished from the rotation. However, does anyone know if Knight is signed to a 10-day contract or for the remainder of the year?

I'm guessing you mean 10 day contract. I didn't know Suras injury was serious enough to bring in another guard, its kind of worrying but I hope he can contribute alot to our team in the short time he's here, just wondering if he performs well is it possible for the rockets to sign him longer?

First off, anyone have any idea on how they're trading for Donyell Marshall?

Donyell Marshall would be a great addition for our team. I just can't get enough of how great this guy would be for our team. However, the trade seems impossible to me. Currently we're stacked at point guard- so it either means Sura is really suffering in his injury or trade is going to happen. I really don't know how this rotation would work. Barrett might get less playing time, something that I hope doesn't happen. He brings energy and charisma to the court, and often lifts us up from many tight situations.

Hold up, does that mean Charlie Ward is coming back in? I thought he was going to be injured longer. I don't know, I really don't want this guy coming back to the team. We weren't really doing that great with him and he was pretty much killing our team with his lack of playmaking skills and inability to shoot the ball all that effectively.

Marshall would help the team with his post defense and rebounding, but there is no way we can get him. Jim Jackson would have been a good bait, but he's gone now. The only thing Toronto might want is our trade exception, or first round pick, but we don't want to give it up.

As for Ward, I was just hypothesizing about when he returns. I'm actually not sure when he'll return.

There are alot of rumors about the Rockets and point guards.

The Rockets have been calling the Jazz about Carlos Arroyo. But the Jazz arnt that sure about the Rockets offers.

Theres also news that Houston might Sign Rod Strickland to a 10-Day contract.

And the last thing I heard is that Houston might call Vassilis Spanoulis. If you dont remember him thats the Rockets 2nd-round pick. They say that hes playing well in a Greek league right now.

The rockets need Donyell Marshall to come to the team, we need a 6th man, Mo Taylor doesnt do anything cept miss shots and make like 2 points each game, we should trade mo taylor for donyell cause he barely does anything and im sure our new 6th man can score bout 10 a game

He's Brevin Knight's younger brother, and if he can do for us anything like what Brevin is doing for Charlotte, I can see why we went after him. Here's an analysis I found of him...

NBA Comparison: A taller version of his brother Brevin Knight

Strengths: A fiery competitior who gives his all every play. Provides leadership on both ends of the floor. A pesky defender, Brandin uses his unbelievably quick hands to deflect and steal passes all over the court. Combine his quick hands with super quick feet and you have a great fastbreak starter. Is a point guard in the sense of the word. Gets everyone involved and hustles every play.

Weaknesses: Needs to become a better offensive weapon. Has shot a very low field goal percentage and three point percentage through out his career. Is probably a little shorter than 6 foot, which makes him a liability against bigger guards. Free throw shooting is atrocious for a point guard at 50% and will hurt him if he cant improve upon it.

For a quick pickup, he sounds pretty solid to me.

Will the Raptors do it? Marshall's trade value right now is very high and Taylor's is at an all-time low. Besides, why would Toronto want a power forward with a huge contract to play behind Chris Bosh? Toronto might be interested in expiring contracts, but none of our players are that attractive to be traded for Donyell.

new member here! wish i found this forum earlier.. but anyways i hope you guys dont get mad for me putting in my two cents but i dont know why we keep trading and i definately did not liek it when they traded jim jackson, it broke my heart. i just think that we should just keep the team we have now ( unless that is of course we get some kick butt deal ) and just work from there, maybe thats why we arent so consistent i just hope we just stop the trades and just work on being a team, as of now were doin pretty good, and i think thats because the players have grown accustomed to each others playing what do you guys think?

lol, of course we're not upset with you posting (unless you make 1 sentence posts, no names named...), welcome to the forum btw...Ok, although I do agree with you that our players have gotten used to each other and have more team chemistry now, I do believe we could really use a player like Donyell, but only if it doesn't involve us trading away any of our key players...

BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS MO TAYLORS SORRY PLAY, AND HUGE CONTRACT. Dang, will you stop suggesting that over and over again please. Donyell Marshall is playing well now, and Mo Taylor isnt, and is very expensive.
