Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather has appealed his two-game suspension for illegal hits against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder. The appeal is scheduled to be heard Wednesday with a decision to follow on whether Meriweather will be permitted to play in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
