Sad way to end a career for the former Cavalier. I think we all still have a soft spot for Tee Bee. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Brandon makes retirement official By ANNE M. PETERSON, AP Sports Writer March 9, 2004 PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Former NBA All-Star Terrell Brandon was surrounded by his family and friends at his retail store in Portland when he formally, and tearfully, announced his retirement. ``I'm not perfect, but I always tried to handle myself like a man and not embarrass myself,'' Brandon said. He called it quits Tuesday after missing most of the past three seasons with knee injuries. He had already discussed his retirement after a trade last summer sent him from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Atlanta Hawks, a deal that was purely financial. He said he needed to wait until the paperwork was complete to make it official. </div> more... http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-b...ov=ap&type=lgns
I hate to see him retire, but you gotta do what you gotta do... I loved Brandon as a Cavalier, I wished he could of stayed, but I'm glad he didnt with his knee troubles..
Tee Bee was so smoothe. That jumper got so good as the years went on. Very underated point guard, and a model citizen. All round good guy you'd love to have at your franchise. Cleveland were lucky to have such a special guy play for our franchise.
Too bad he had to go out like that. I always liked his type of player at the PG position. Cool, under control, great jumper, and was $$$ from the foul line, great guy to sucseed Price. But in a business way of looking at it we traded him at the right time, but it evened itself out by getting Shawn Cocaine. Now that I think about it, Vin Baker had his problems with substance abuse too. That was such a huge deal and every team in it got burned.
.....TB is my all time favorite player. He IS the main reason I am a Cavs fan today. Good luck to him with whatever he wishes to do. He will be missed. Especially from me.

But seeing he is damn rich, I'd say he'd be kicking back, enjoying life. Good luck to him!
He had some big shoes to fill after Mark Price left, but he learned well from one of the best ever, and he made a name for himself here in Cleveland. He was one of the best in the league during his prime, and his character speaks for itself. Too bad there aren't more people like him in this league, or in this world for that matter. Is that enough to retire his number? I think so. How bout you?
Yup! Looking at his stats on the All Time Leaders link you gave us shows why. He's in the top 10 in quite a few categories, including assists and FT%. Maybe in a few years, but I doubt it will happen any time soon.
Its sad that his career wound up the way it did. He really came out of nowhere and picked right up where Mark Price (the greatest Cav of all time) left off. When he was healthy he was in the upper echelon on NBA point guards. I don't know if he spent enough time with the Cavs to warrant having his number retired. It's so hard to decide because the franchise was so poor for so long and then they got good over a period of about a decade where all the career numbers were put up. If I have to make a decision, I'd say no.
