<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A week after vowing to mature and learn from his mistakes, receiver Braylon Edwards was the only no-show Tuesday for the Browns' first day of voluntary organized team activities, or OTAs."[Braylon]contacted us early [Tuesday] morning and said he wasn't going to be here," said coach Romeo Crennel after the 1? hour practice. "He should be here."Crennel said Edwards didn't speak to him directly and doesn't know the reason. But he did stress the 12 OTAs aren't mandatory. "I told all of them today I would like them to be here, but it's voluntary," said Crennel. The coach said he's not upset."I'm just glad that the ones that are here are here, and we'll work with those guys and move forward," Crennel said. The Browns are installing a new system under new coordinator Rob Chudzinski and looked sloppy. What's more, the three quarterback vying for the starting job - Charlie Frye, Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson - could benefit from having their star receiver on hand, especially with tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. idle from microfracture knee surgery. The absence came after Edwards last week donated $1 million to Cleveland students and vowed to be everything the Browns deserve. That day, Crennel called Edwards' action a step in the right direction. Was the OTA skip a misstep?"Without having talked to Braylon, I'm not going comment about that," said Crennel. "We work with the guys who are here, and we got a good day's work in."Later, Crennel, in response to a general question about the receivers, said, "We feel like we have decent ability, if we've got Braylon and he's here and ready to go."Frye, who vowed to be more of a leader this season, said he couldn't comment on Edwards' absence because he hasn't talked to him. "When he gets back, we'll sort that out," said Frye.</div>

Omg. He missed a voluntary camp. They should cut him now. :whistling: Seriously, it's no big deal IMO.
