Holy crap, I predicted this this morning. I come online to check Olive, there it is! Woot go me! Yeah, I know no one cares.
Might as well trade Pryzbilla for Hinrich and Thomas now. No use paying your backup center that much money.
Congrats to Nate. I think he timed this move perfectly. Better to try and integrate Greg now, before Martell gets back in a couple of weeks.
Not sure why everyone is so worried about his conditioning before he becomes a starter. Lately he hasn't been playing as much because we've been blowing teams out or hes been in foul trouble. He'll likely play the same minutes whether he starts or not. I think they are using this start to prod him a little.
Then get ready for a little bit of this:
Im worried about it as a starter because he plays against other starters... Most of the time when he comes off the bench, he's playing against other teams 2nd units, and sometimes tired 1st units... plus more conditioning for him to get better, is always good.
Yeah, because it would be much better to pay 50% more to a guy who can't even play for the next three months and a guy who can't play at all. BNM
Sac had no one that could gaurd him in the pre-season which means this should be a good confidence builder... it should also be good for my fantasy team STOMP
Damn, he moves alot more fluid in those college videos... I wonder if bulking up so much was the right thing to do he seems to have more explosive jumping in the vid's too, but it all could be shitty quality youtube.
he is still recovering, so we will not really know what his deal is until the next season starts. but everything he can give us until then is only gravy. if we only have 2 pryzbillas for the rest of this year, thats good enough.
Wow, you can see a major difference in his jumping. Funny we think GO is already damn good wait till he's fully recovered. Seeing GO right now reminds me a lot of Amare when he first came back from surgery. Amare looked like a shell of his former self, I didn't think he would ever fully recover. Greg is having a big adjustment period mainly because he's always been the biggest guy on the court and a superior athlete. Now he has to rely on good footwork, headfakes, and positioning all of which takes time and experience.
Part of me feels sorry for Joel - he's actually playing better than Oden and he gets demoted. But on the other hand, there are actually MORE scorers in the bench crew than in the starters at the moment, so there will be more shots for Oden. And maybe this is more about Aldridge than Oden - jumpstart Aldridge by giving opposing teams less opportunity to double team him/put their best low-post defender on him.
