I just heard that if found guilty, the sentencing range is from 3.5 years to 15 years....Either he has a brilliant lawyer or its bye bye Plax for a long time....
Plax acted stupidly and has shown no remorse, regret, or understanding over what he did wrong. He kept alienating people who tried to sympathize and help him out, and now the only response he can elicit is indifference. That's a case of someone digging their own grave, if I've ever seen one. The only thing that was bugging me was the fate of Antonio Pierce. He's off and should be back to focusing on football now, so the issue's now irrelevant to me.
I think one charge was carrying a concealed weapon and the other charge is carrying an un-licensed gun in the state of NY.
Marcellus Wiley made some interesting comments about Burress. He said Burress is a friend of his and probably not the right person to make an example out of, but laws are laws and Burress is lucky no one was seriously injured (including himself) when the gun went off. He said he used to carry a gun his first two years in a league and it made him extremely paranoid.
Apparently the discharged bullet was dangerously close to hitting a bouncer in the club. I've been floored by how little Plax has changed throughout this ordeal. The gravity and potential seriousness of the incident just seems to have gone over his head. And he's completely taken the amount of people bending over backwards to help him for granted.
