Listening to Galloway and co. on 103.3fm and Nellie was on he said this: A trade of Dickau + 2 round draft pick for Darrell Armstrong from Hornets is now pending. Nellie said this is because Harris is regressing and needs time to work on his game. Also because of too many ankle injuries at guard spot.
I dont mind if this trade went through. While, it may hurt Devin's progress, he's certainly not playing good ball last few games. I dont know if the hornets will accept this trade though, given the injuries they're faced with. DA is an excellent backup PG IMO. Will Terry be a starter then?

The move, made to shore up the position currently occupied by rookie Devin Harris and Jason Terry, supplies the Mavericks with one of the best defensive point guards in the league. Armstrong averaged 10.1 points and 4.6 assists in 14 games with the Hornets (nine starts). Windmill you should make this official since you found it. Post this up on the NBA Basketball section so we can rub this in their faces.
Why, I don't think New Orleans cares lol, and their aren't that many NOH fans anyways, it's just a cost cutting/player development move since they know their season is done. Baron and Magloire out, and with Mash's career basiecally over, their's nothing for NO right now.
Nice pickup for the mavs if you ask me. Dickau did just about nothing, and Armstrong can give us solid minutes and put up numbers while Harris works on his game.
Armstrong is a nice pick up, he is all hustle and heart and could become a mentor for Harris as well.
very nice trade for the mavs. so i guess this puts the hornets in a rebuilding stage with all the injuries and all. i wonder if they'll trade baron or magloire also.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dee still ballin:</div><div class="quote_post">They should have taken bradley too</div> If we traded someone like michael finley for armstrong and wanted to throw in bradley, i bet they would reject it just because he was involved.
The only bad news is that Nellie is now talking about cutting Devin Harris's minutes. The guy needs to play now. Point guard is something that takes time to develop. Defensively, he's NBA ready, offensively, he needs to learn to run the team. I hope this trade doesn't detract from his development. Maybe he'll learn from Armstrong. Armstrong is a great fit, very very fast, very very good defender, just like Harris and Terry. The team hasn't really started pushing the tempo yet, but they will.
