<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If the Seattle SuperSonics are in fact looking to trade Brent Barry, here's an idea: Bring back Pookie.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in utter disarray, losing four of their past five, dropping seven games below .500 and still searching for an identity.

And former Sonic Eric Snow is not pleased about it, venting his frustrations this past week.

Turns out, the Sixers are suffering from the opposite of what the Sonics maladies are. Philly wants to be a defensive team, but needs scorers. Seattle wants to be an offensive team, but needs some stoppers.

"We either need to go get an offensive team and get rid of guys like me and get guys that are going to come in and score and make up for the defensive end," Snow said. "Or we can go get a defensive team and play a 70-70 game, because what we're doing now isn't working.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Snow advocated that Sixers general manager Billy King trade him.

"Do you just sit and throw in the towel for the whole year?" Snow said. "If they (management) feel the team isn't getting better than what we have, then you change it. If any player is against that, that's not right."

So why not this? The Sixers need offense, and the Sonics need perimeter defense. Swap Barry ($5.4 million) for Snow ($4.5 million) and rookie marksman Kyle Korver ($366,000), an Ashton Kutcher look-alike whose specialty is 3-point shooting.</div>

Probably the most realistic trade proposal yet. Makes a lot of sense for Seattle, and if Snow really does want to go, then it makes a lot of sense for Philadelphia too. Barry's injury may ruin any chance of it going ahead, though.

    Thoughts?

I don't like it, who'd run the point?

Barry and Iverson would. Barry is very capable at the point because he is a very unselfish player. Having him run the point with iverson could create a very dangerous backcourt. Add in the fact that he has a consistent three point shot(something the sixers terribly lack at the 1) and you have a added dimension to a talented team.

Getting Eric Snow in a Sonics uniform is good as well because he would give them a capable point who plays good defence. He doesn't shoot the three but that is not a problem with Seattle who have Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Ronald Murray and Vladimir Radmanovic. Looks like a good trade for both teams but Barry is injured as of right now so this may not happen anytime soon

Just what CV said, he's good for the Sixers anyway, they're very much in need of some great offense and unselfish play. Barry is just that, plus he wants to leave. Not as good at offense as Barry but decent enough, Snow would provide great effort and defense, which is great since it will compensate for the defense that Allen lacks. I say go for it, sounds and seems like one of the better and more realistic trades that would occur. If you want another option, try Mobley for Barry as well.

Have you watched the Sonics play since the trade heard round the world? Barry did an excellent job running the point, although I will never consider him a true pg. I used to like Eric Snow, but I am starting to realize just how mediocre he is. Actually let me take that back, he's above average in the assist category, and has an excellent knowledge of the game. I love his shot selection, but I'd take Barry over snow in a second.

Haha. Sir Dez, your response made me literally lol! I'm too lazy to explain why Mobley for Barry would be a horrible trade.
