<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Memphis is seriously considering Florida junior Corey Brewer at No. 4, multiple sources told ESPN.com that late Wednesday night. Sources said Brewer is one of two choices for the Grizzlies. The other choice is between Florida's Al Horford and Ohio State's Mike Conley Jr., who have been Memphis' favorites for weeks. Chris Wallace, the new general manager and former GM in Boston, has been enamored with Brewer, the native Tennessean and defensive stopper. Wallace took Brewer out to dinner when he was in Boston and his chore now is to convince Jerry West of the choice.</div>LINKIf we were going to draft Brewer, we will have a trade already in the works for a big man. There will be other opptunities to get a PG other than the draft, but getting a real big is a must for Memphis, and its been reported that West is going to bring in a good, young player with a large contract who will compliment Pau perfectly. So does this mean Mike Miller is on his way out? When you piece everything together Miller seems the most likely to be traded, hence us seriously considering Brewer.I personally think Brewer is going to be very good, and frankly his defense will be perfect for us. Having Rudy Gay and Corey Brewer at the 2 and 3 would be a fast, athletic, versitle, and defensive duo.EDIT:Just putting this out there, I know its a long shot this is the player West is talking about, but what if we have a trade where we trade Miller straight up for Chandler. Chandler is young, big contract and he would be great next to Pau. New Orleans has Cedric Simmons and Hilton Armstrong, maybe the Hornets are big on one of them, and New Orleans does need a SG. I know its unlikely, but if Memphis adds a peice or two to that it might be a possible trade....although I htink New Orleans is in love with Chandler. Dont bash me on this cause its just a thought...

I think it would be so dumb to trade Brewer when our obvious needs are a PG and a big man. Wallace would already be on my bad side as the new Griz GM. I really hope West does not do this. Pick Conley, he's the best pick.

Like I said, the only reason they would do this is if they have a trade to get us a big man, and Miller is involved.

We've heard millions of rumors this summer, and all of them have flopped. We have Conley and Noah right in front of us for the taking to fill one of our needs. Take them. It's a sure fire deal, while a trade rumor isn't.

I agree to take the needed player and not bank on a possible trade, but what im saying is, if we do take Brewer, there will probably be a deal Memphis has already worked out that will for sure happen where we trade Miller for a big man. Or else it would be idiotic to draft Brewer if we dont have a trade set in place. West and Wallace would only draft Brewer if they were 100% certain the other team wasnt going to back out...those kindve deals always happen on draft night. Some say that player is Nene...but I dont know about him..
