Having traded Khris Davis to Oakland last Friday, the Brewers are discussing whether it makes sense to move Ryan Braun back to left field and install strong-armed newcomer Domingo Santana in right field.

"That could be a possibility," general manager David Stearns said Monday. "We're still discussing our various options."

Wanting to get Davis' power bat into the regular lineup after a strong two-month debut in 2013, the Brewers moved Braun from left field to right field before the '14 season. Davis did not have a strong throwing arm and it was decided it made more sense to play him in left and Braun in right, where a good arm is more valuable.

Now that Davis has been traded, it likely would make for a stronger defensive outfield to move Braun back to left and put Santana in right. Braun has a good throwing arm but Santana's is stronger and his skill set is generally considered best-used in right field.
