With every sports paper I read, there's Cashman talking about priorities & his plans for next season. Doesn't sound like a man who's going to be out of a job. It's beginning to look like we're stuck with this guy as the GM. Why am I not surprised.

Could be a ploy, the man has been absent from functions that he probably should have attended. My own opinion is that he's going to be fired or bumped upstairs where he's not in the way.

The absence of young talent in the system is ridiculous. Who else is there to blame?

I don't know, on Wednesday he met with Girardi's agent Steve Mandell on resigning him & hopes to have him locked in by the end of the month. So apparently he's still involved. Sad but true.
