Brian Elliott might have been the last person to find out about his team acquiring another big-name defenseman.

He had other things to worry about, like getting the St. Louis Blues back on track after a late-season slump and another injury to starting goalie Jaroslav Halak.

Jaden Schwartz and Andy McDonald each had a goal and an assist, Elliott stepped in and made 19 saves, and the Blues snapped a three-game losing streak by beating the Minnesota Wild 4-1 on Monday night.
