    - Ben Sheets, signed to a minor league contract nearly four weeks ago, was sharp. Cole Hamels, who signed a $144 million deal two days ago, had the worst control of his career.

    Brian McCann hit a three-run homer off Hamels, and Sheets continued his impressive comeback to lead the Atlanta Braves past the Philadelphia Phillies 6-1 on Friday night.
