He's got a really weird diet. He's got a ton of tatoo's. He doesn't care one bit about the beach boys or how he got his name. He started closing the last twenty or so games of last season and has been doing great so far this season. He's only 26 and he's going to get a heck of a lot better. He has that closer mentality that everyone always talks about.

It won't let me embed it, and I have no idea why.

The story about the bird his team ate after hitting it is messed up and hilarious.

It is also much more appropriate to laugh at that sad story compared to some of the other stuff I've seen get a "LOL" on this board.

He was definitely born to be a closer with that mentality. He still gives up too many hits for my taste. Usually ends up coming away with the save but hes playing with fire most of the time because he allows a few guys to get on base.

You have to be impressed with the guy. He's on pace for somewhere around 50 saves. On a team that was supposed to be one of the worst in the league, that's saying a lot. He only got the closer job last September. He's a prime example of why a pitching coach is still so important today. Hopefully Rags (Dave Righetti) can continue to help him out.
