Brian Wilson was back on a mound in San Francisco last week.

The former Giants closer threw at USF on Friday as he continues to rehab from a second Tommy John surgery. Wilson still sports his trademark bushy beard, making him easy to spot, even in a city as eclectic as San Francisco.

Wilson has been hard to find since parting ways with the Giants in the offseason. When he wasn't healthy enough to make a team this spring, Wilson continued the rehab process in Hawaii.

He did not return to San Francisco for a World Series ring ceremony in April but has been seen around town this weekend. Photos on Instagram showed him playing disc golf at Golden Gate Park on Saturday.

I'm a regular at the SF GGP disc golf course. We were having one of our work parties where we all pitch in and do course maintenance (yardwork stuff) when Brian came through playing. He looked like he was limber and healthy, but he's still trying to find his sea legs in disc... definitely a beginner. If I wasn't having the time of my life pushing wheelbarrows full of Eucalyptus leaves and branches into a big pile I'd have offered to show him the basics of how to throw

I only wish I could relay that The Machine was caddying

You should have taken the time to teach him
