the bron/melo battles this season may end up like the magic/bird battles in the past seasons. but who do u ppl think will do better in their rookie seasons?
Melo definetely cause even just one year of college goes further than no years. This kids jumping straight from hs to the nba is ridiculous, it gives the impression that education isn't important. And plus these kids don't really excel their first couple years in the nba anyway. end rant.

I'm not saying a player from highschool could not excel. I'm saying that they should go to college to learn the fundamentals of basketball and to get an education as oppose to going straight to the nba. Just my opinion of course.

Fact is that he had a less stable basketball career than any of the other guys that came out of high school and had a less stable basketball career than the other guys in the draft. He said himself that he has never really even been coached because of his unstable high school career. Age means nothing if a player doesn't have the experience necessary to excel.

I'm not saying that LBJ is the for sure rookie of the year though, b/c i think that Melo will give him a good run for his money.
For every Amare Stoudamire that enters the draft out of high school, there are ten Kwame Brown's, Tyson Chandlers,Rashard Lewis', And Jermaine O'neals. Who don't do much in their first couple seasons but develop and collect a paycheck. Why not just go to college and develop and get a "FREE" college education, then enter into the draft after that? It makes more sense to me. Of course money is a big issue also.

If you go to college tear an ACL and can never play again then you're screwed out of millions. After someone like Lebron retires he can go to college and get his degree.

Carmelo will be better. He's got a year of college experience under his belt, unlike LeBron. He's a better jump shooter and has got a better all around game I think. LeBron doesn't have a jump shot and he's never played a player near his talent in high school. Carmelo has played people at his talent and probably some above it.

Especially by the margin you seem to think. Don't let the games that were televised with LeBron fool you. Carmelo didn't necessarily play against a player near his talent either in high school. Of course he played LeBron during his senior year, but if we are going to hold being better than everyone else in high school against LeBron why don't we hold it against Carmelo also?
and 'Melo won't? I dont see why either wont get any more or less than the other. both teams had about identical records last year
Defenitely make a good point. And especially with the team the Melo is on, alot easier to shine on that team.
Whats up people I say melo has my vote because Leborn is going to have a lot of pressure on him the first year or two Dont get me wrong Lebron is a kick ass player and has some mad hops And is going to have a good career
Leborn loves the attention and pressure. He will be much better than Anthony. Then again I could be wrong... It's all about Chris Bosh
