Brooks Benched

Saints QB Aaron Brooks was benched. Tod Bouman will start against the panthers.

 

wow the future doesnt look bright for him in New Orleans well New Orleans doesnt really have a bright future but you know what i mean

 

If they're gonna bench their starter why not put McPherson in?

That's what I was thinking but in reality he's still a really raw talent. You just don't go from Arena League to the NFL right away. I wouldn't be shocked if they take a look at him though for a while. Why bench Brooks in favor of Todd Bouman? Bouman isn't that young is he. Why not stick with Brooks.

By the way whoever gets Brooks as their QB next year will have a good QB. Brooks isn't that bad of a QB in my opinion.

I do know if had a better Offensive line then he'd be less eratic with his throws and he probably woulden't throw any backwards lol!

Outside of Favre I'm not sure anyone throws a faster ball than Brooks. He does have a cannon. I didn't think he was the problem there. The defense is horrible and they have no running game at all.

 

How many years are left in his contract anyways?

Brooks is a very good QB. Look at it like this. When McAllister had 1600 yards in 2003, Brooks had 24 td and 9 int. Enough said.

Our DC is the problem. Has been since 2002.

My guess would be McPherson has some sort of bet on the game, and cant start without violating probation.
