As much as I hate these Brown vs. Iverson articles, this one is a very nice read, and in a land of journalism where majority of the information is thought up mumbo jumbo, this one proves to be otherwise. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The coaching vagabond, having just captured his first NBA championship, strolled around the Palace of Auburn Hills last week with tears welling in his eyes and humility in his heart. The trophy had eluded Larry Brown for 21 years, treating him like the ugly admirer with a beautiful personality. Teasing and tantalizing him, in the image of everyone from David Robinson to Reggie Miller to Allen Iverson, providing glimpses of what might have been if only Brown had stayed instead of tiring and running away. "I wish we could have done it in Philadelphia," Brown would say one day after his Detroit Pistons demolished the Los Angeles Lakers in five games. "It would have been really, really neat," he added before shaking his head, fixing his glasses, opening wounds that have faded but simply refuse to go away altogether. That Brown's family remained in Philadelphia all season, that Brown constantly flew home, that Brown repeatedly and mistakenly mentioned the 76ers on more occasions than anyone in the Motor City cared to count, served as evidence for all of us to ponder. No matter where Brown goes or what he accomplishes, Iverson is always on his mind.</div> Full Article Article courtesy of Stephen A. Smith/Philadelphia Inquirer.
It's good to here that. Larry Brown is a wonderful coach and it's good to know that he's still thinking about us.
