Brown: "Out until Mid November" <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A day before the Washington Wizards open training camp, Kwame Brown said a broken toe will likely force him to sit out the first two weeks of the regular season, the latest setback to the development of the club's former first-round draft choice. Brown said team doctors have told him he can begin practice no sooner than mid-November. The 7-foot, 258-pound Brown underwent surgery on his right pinkie toe this summer after he broke it during a pickup basketball game. </div> This is Def. not the news we needed, and for you guys who think he is being a baby..this is the same type of injury that kept Jevon Kearse (Eagles DE) out for a whole year... Brown Out Longer Than Expected
No sooner than mid-November...so really, it may be longer. I'm sorry Washington, but you're really going to need Kwame if you wanna make a run for the playoffs this year. With all of the injuries last year, this doesn't look good.
This is garbage, I wonder what lineup the team will run: SF - Hayes PF - Jamison C - Haywood or Etan or SF - Jamison PF - Etan C - Haywood
I'd rather see Etan, jamison, hayes. Etan and Brendan out on the floor at the same time creates too much of an offensive liability.
This is not the start the Wizards wanted if they are to make the playoffs. Brown will play a key role throughout the season, and his absence will hurt the team early in the season. It will also slow down his development, and the sooner he can get back the better for himself and the Wizards.
Darn, I feel sorry for the guy, this is supposed to be the season he breaks out... hopefully the injury will not slow him or deter his motivation to improve.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Hendrix:</div><div class="quote_post">ouch that hurts...a lot, i dont even know what we're gonna do</div> I wouldnt say that, at most he will miss about 2 weeks..we just need someone to fill in for him while he is gone, I think Arenas/Jamison/Hughes will be able to shoulder most of the load.
