LOS ANGELES -- Indiana Pacers associate head coach Mike Brown said Sunday he will interview a week from today for the coaching position in Atlanta.

Brown, 34, just completed his first season with the Pacers, working as their "defensive coordinator." The Pacers finished second in the NBA in scoring defense, allowing 81.1 points per game.

    Great information Shard

Well this information sounds totally tubular. Atl Hawks is my home team, and I know defense wins championships.

I could tell last year toward the end that the Hawks have really picked up their offense with all of there gaurd aquisitions. And i could also tell that they have developed there own style of play with there three gaurd sets, which allowed them to beat such teams as the Lakers and the Mavericks.

With a defense minded coach like Mike Brown the hawks could be awesome next year. I hope we get this coach or another defensive minded guy. I will really be rooting for my home team next year. Go hawks.

P.S. I really hope Stephen Jackson stays Hawk.

I think that the reason the Hawks are looking at a 34 year old is because of the success Lawrence Frank received. Personally, I don't like this, since I'm a Pacer fan. Anyways, I don't think Brown will accept the job anyways. It's always a risk coaching the Hawks.
