The Browns just snatched Gary Baxter with a six-year $30 million year contract and a $10.5 million signing bonus. He was hoping to next time get some midlevel players to not go over the cap. Good or bad?
Over paying is the only way to get a free agent for the 1st few weeks....thats why its better to wait for the market to correct itself....$10 million signing bonus should be reserved for, uh, actually, no one is worth that kind of money....$2 million signing bonuses should be reserved for premier players, everyone else can fight for scraps....
Only time will tell if Baxter is a good investment, or not! I have to trust that Savage and Crennel know what they're doing. The Browns are now looking at linebacker Peter Boulware and cornerback Ty Law.
They definetely overpaid, his numbers arent also amazing. Will he be the first CB if Law doesnt sign with the browns?
