- Roethlisberger looking rusty so far after throwing an interception to Joey Haden. - McCoy coming out better than expected. He's made some EXCELLENT, accurate passes, but he's giving up on plays sometimes and his reads are't all too polished. The O-line is also getting manhandled (the right side) and getting to him far too quickly. They need to block better before he ends up in a body bag. Good game so far. Browns up 3-0 after the 1st quarter. GO BROWNS!
This Browns D is severely underrated. They allow some big plays, but Rob Ryan has done a great job with what he's got. The young secondary is getting better every game, but they need pass rushers and a better MLB. But still, they're the only team who STILL hasn't allowed a rushing touchdown.
Once again, Colt needs to STOP giving up on plays so quickly. This will come with more experience and trust in the OL, but still.
7-3 at the half for the Steelers. Much better game than everyone expected from the Browns. The Browns D has really held up but a few thoughts: - Colt McCoy, for the thousandth time, keeps giving up on plays and not making his hot reads. He needs to establish the pass if they want to get Hillis and Bell going, but McCoy looks scared everytime he gets 3 seconds in the pocket. - Harrison is gonna get fined for causing 2 possible concussions. Ferocious hitter, but you can't do that. - Hills is a man-beast. I haven't seen a 6'2 255 lbs. runningback run as fast as he does while running over defensive linemen like him. He's too fucking raw. One thing he does need to improve is his pass blocking if he cares about McCoy's well-being. - Ben looks rusty, but it's coming off real quick. Most QBs don't have the luxury of having that defensive linemen body to buy him some time in the pocket and escaping from sacks. Lucky bastards.
Eric Wright has been awful almost all year. He just allowed his 2nd TD today. I think it's time to give Joey that #2 CB spot.
Ben really starting to carve this pass D. They just got lucky he missed a wide open Mike Wallace. Oddly enough, Browns still in this.
McCoy with a TD!! He and Ben Watson have great chemistry. McCoy is showing GREAT poise for his irst game against the Steelers. Us Browns fans should be encouraged by his ability to improv when plays break down while making accurate throws. 21-10 Steelers.
