Buccaneers Looking For Defensive Tackles, Wide Receivers and Linebackers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been targeting obvious areas of need on their roster for the upcoming draft during their private workouts and visits, according to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times.

Per Stroud, the Buccaneers’ private workout list includes dates with University of South Florida wide receiver Taurus Johnson, University of Maryland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey and University of Florida wide receivers Louis Murphy and Percy Harvin as well as Boston College defensive tackle Ron Brace and Notre Dame linebacker Maurice Crum Jr.

Tampa Bay has also scheduled official visits with Temple defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, Hampton defensive tackle Chris Baker, Georgia Tech defensive end Michael Johnson and Western Illinois linebacker Jason Williams.

Of course, visits aren’t always the truest indicator of a team’s interest.

Sometimes, they’re used to confuse other teams. Sometimes, it’s for medical rechecks. And some NFL teams use visits as a recruiting tool for potential priority undrafted free agents.

Why in fuck's name would they work out Percy Harvin? What kind of retard takes a wide receiver in round 1 when half his defense is vacant?
