However, if Porter is shown the door, which isn't out of the realm of possibilities considering the Bucks current record and their hellish five-game West Coast trip later this month, Redd may opt to leave since he enjoys playing for Porter.

Suffice to say, there's never a dull moment when it comes to the Bucks.

UW'S Wilkinson intrigues pros Nobody would argue Mike Wilkinson is one of the premier players in the Big Ten. The Wisconsin Badgers senior forward is a lock to be chosen to the All-Big Ten first team and will draw some legit All-American consideration.

Yet, just because Wilkinson is excelling at the collegiate level doesn't mean he'll excel at the pro level. That's because Wilkinson, in sports jargon, is a tweener. At 6-foot-8, he's not tall enough to be a power forward in the NBA. And he lacks the desirable speed and quickness to be pro small forward.

Nevertheless, Wilkinson remains an intriguing prospect to NBA personnel.

"I've seen him play a lot and I think he has a chance to play in the NBA with the right team,'' said Bucks assistant general manager Dan Kohl. "He's tough; he's smart; he's skilled; he's got an inside-outside game. He brings a lot to the table. I'm a fan.

"I think he's a second-round pick. He has a long career ahead of him.'' Bell makes impression DaMarcus Bell will have a fairly tough decision to make in April: whether to sign a national letter of intent to play basketball for a Division I college team or remain another season at Odessa (Texas) College.

Bell, a 6-foot-7 small forward who starred at St. Catherine's High School, was a part-time starter this season for Odessa, which is the all-time winningest junior college in the country. Bell played in every game this season, averaging 8.5 points.

Mike Scutero, an assistant coach at Odessa, said Bell has indictated to him that he'll play another season for Odessa, although several lower D-I colleges, including UW-Green Bay and Illinois-Chicago, are pursuing him.

"He had a good year; he's coming along fine,'' Scutero said. "We're looking forward to big things from him next year. There's no question he has the tools and loads of potential. But I think it would be in his best interests to come back and get stronger and gain more maturity.'' Bell had signed with Green Bay last year, but insufficient grades forced him into going to Odessa. Current St. Catherine's standout Cordero Barkley will be attending Green Bay this fall, having signed a national letter of intent in November.</div> Source
