Terry Stotts on his new crew <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">On looking forward to the preseason games? ?Right now the toughest thing when you're playing against yourself is when one team makes a good play it means the other team made a bad one. Do you praise the positive or harp on the negative? It'll be good to play a few games and see where we stand compared to some of the other teams.? On his plan for the preseason games? ?I think there are different stages of the exhibition season. I try to let a lot of guys play early and hone in on some of the things we've worked on. Then as you progress, around the 6th, 7th or 8th game, you approach it more like a regular season game with more preparation and concentrating on rotations and combinations. The first few games we're really looking at our team; what could work, different combinations, playing different guys together. We've got 18 guys on our roster and I would like to give everybody a chance to play so I'm managing a few different things early. ?From my standpoint, I'm making personnel evaluations but I want to try and get everyone in a rhythm playing with each other. It's kind of a juggling act. ?I think in the early games we have a little more flexibility. Maybe going into a game playing Andrew (Bogut) and Dan (Gadzuric) together to see what that may look like. Perhaps playing Jiri (Welsch) at point guard. And those are just two examples. With only 48 minutes in a game there are only so many things we can do, but we have a lot of possibilities with the depth of this roster, so we want to look at as many variables as we can.? On his overall impressions of training camp so far? ?I've been pleased. Everyday they've given great effort and that's why I'm looking forward to the preseason games to see a little bit better where we are in the execution of our offense and defensive schemes. For six months (during the season) it's a work in progress but we'll keep working at it every day. Throughout the course of the season there can be some slippage here or there, so we need to go back and give that attention. What makes it tough in training camp is that we're working on certain things and we've got a lot to work on that there's going to be a little slippage here and there because we really haven't gotten good at any one thing yet.? On the team?s defensive mentality in camp? ?So far I think the effort and focus on defense has been good. We?re getting our hands on a lot of balls and the guys are keying on what they need to do. I'm a big believer with defense that if you have effort and you have focus you have a good chance to be a good defender and a good defensive team. So far we've had that.? </div> Source The Bucks and Timberwolves clash tonight in each teams' first preseason game of the year.
Question of the night ... Does Olowokandi show up or will he be scared off by the Bogey Man? Schaddy I expect a recap, hopefully TJ Ford has a nice showing in his first game.
