"Running back Clifton Smith signed a one-year tender offer to remain with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010, the team announced Tuesday.

Smith, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and made the Pro Bowl that season as a special teams return specialist, was an exclusive-rights free agent.

Last season, Smith ranked among the league's top 11 players in kickoff (29.1 yards) and punt return (10.1 yards) average. He was placed on injured reserve in December after his second concussion of the season."
