Bulls waive Jay Williams <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Chicago Bulls waived guard Jay Williams on Tuesday, two weeks after reaching a contract buyout with the guard whose career is in jeopardy following a motorcycle accident. NBA rules require a player to be put on waivers after a team and the player make a settlement on their contract. The buyout was worth about $3 million. Williams had two more years worth about $7.7 million left on his original deal. "Jay's accident was tragic and unfortunate. We look forward to watching the progress of Jay's rehabilitation and remain hopeful he can someday rejoin our team. But at the same time this allows us roster flexibility as we move forward," Bulls general manager John Paxson said. Williams was riding a new motorcycle last June 19 when the bike got away from him and slammed into a utility pole.</div> Full story
Yeah, some teams want him, but Jay says he owes Paxson a favor and wants to rejoin the Bulls. I dont think he'll be the same again... I mean they were so close to amputating his leg. Now thats bad.
A team that is in need of a good pointguard maybe? Don't know which teams that need that but, do you?
Where have you been? I heard about this a couple weeks ago, I don't think JWill will be anywhere close to the shape he wants to be in, and it will be a frustrating situation for him, I just hope the best for this guy, and hope he can regain some of that strengh in his leg.
Where has who been??? I knew this all along, I just decided to mention it now becasue the subject was brought up. Thanks for repeating it.
