    It's official:

Naturally, terms of the deal were not disclosed per team policy.

K.C. Johnson is saying that Hinrich's deal is believed to be 2 years ~$8M.

OK, now that would be a surprise. That's a MLE (though not full) deal rather than the $3M MMLE earlier reported. Also in the article is that Belinelli is expected to get 2 years for $3.8M total...the bi-annual exception.

Adding $4M for Hinrich, $1.9M for Belinelli and with both Radmanovich and Nazr at the vet minimum ($854,380), tax-wise, I've got them at $72,927,391 for 12 players. Add one more vet minimum an they're at $73,781,771...sitting on "the apron."

Sad day for the franchise. Good day for management.

    The $4M/season is ridiculous.

I thought Nazi was getting 1.4 mil. Does it only count as 800K?

I'm guessing KC is rounding up on Kirk, but who knows.

What's done is done. It isn't going to look too pretty regardless without Derrick. I'll wait and see if there's hope with him.

Is the talk of Foye and Thomas just talk? Could Rip be on the way out?

The minimum salary for a guy with 10+ years (Nazr has 14) is $1,352,181 ($1.4 rounded). The Bulls pay $854,389 of it and the league pays the rest.

Right now, the Bulls only have Hinrich and Teague at PG until Rose comes back. I'm having trouble believing that they'll hand the backup job to Teague, but if they have low expectations for next season, maybe they roll dice. Belinelli played about 1/3 of his minutes at PG last season. Who the hell knows?

Foye's a tweener, but hasn't played much point the last couple seasons. Still, he's an interesting possibility and the Bulls love players who can play multiple positions.

May as well roll the dice. We know for sure that Hinrich had a PER below 10 the past two seasons. Teague must really suck if he can't beat it.

Somebody suggested that we looked at Foye in case Bellinelli wouldn't sign. Rip is here this year. I hope it's a good one. Without any fear...

    And so this is Christmas
    And what have we done
    Another year over
And a new one just begun
