    Bill!!!Where are you?

Cartwright Relieved as Bulls Head Coach

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">November 24, 2003 -- Chicago Bulls Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations John Paxson today announced that Bill Cartwright has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the NBA franchise. </div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Paxson said he expects to name Cartwright?s replacement within the next week, but said Pete Myers will be coaching the Bulls in the interim. </div>

Holey Moley! Is this some kind of nba record of teams firing coches?
As mentioned above Pete Myers will be coaching in the interim but after that Isiah Thomas?Doc Rivers?or if Myers wins all the games he coaches he has a shot atit also...I see Cartwright's firing best for The Bulls,I hope to see them in the playoffs so someone has to make a better job with the Bulls.

Now it is time to get rid of Jalen Rose for things to look even better for Chicago.

Martin, please do a better job of putting a title on your thread, make it clean and straight forward.

    Thanks

Would be good if they get Micheal Finley as imo he can play better ball than Rose does.

Doc Rivers has already signed a deal with ABC..Also the fact he said he will take the rest of the season off from coaching. So it won't be him.My guess=Doug Collins.

Finley for Rose? I think not

Im pretty sure Doc Rivers would be a good fit in Chicago. That is if he accpets it and leaves ABC [IMG]

I agree. Above all at this point of the season. Firing now a coach, it means erase all the work done at the training camp, where the team decides and prepares al season. But a team like the Bulls can't play with traingle offense that need at least 4 good passers. Now the max of good passers would be 3 ( with pippen rose and maybe Crawford), but in the frontline ?
Myers has to change drastically the offense and above all the defense.

    Ciao

    Max

sorry Bill but this decision has to be made sooner or later !

bringing new mentality could change chicago's outlook .. but it all depends on who will fill Cartwright's shoes

I would say that Lenny Wilkens is great fit in Chicago .. he is a great devolper of young players and Tyson , Eddy ,Jamal, and Kirk could use some help
Also .. his experience could find a way for this team to get out of their current situation
    good luck to whomever !

So what if these people have atv deal, if a coaching gig comes for them, they can walk way from that, you can't stop someone from getting a better job.

That is why Doug Collins could be a likely contender.Doc Rivers stated he doesn't want to coach this season. He wants to take a break now that he has gone from Orlando.

Something needed to be done, the bulls are struggling. Hopefully they can pull off that trade with the Raptors to get rid of Rose. ([IMG])

Bulls will probably just keep an interim coach for the year. On PTI today though, something was mentioned about a rumor that Paxon might want to hire Jordan as coach. Dunno bout that, I think people should just leave MJ alone for a year. But, than one of the people, Bill Plashke I think is who it was, on Around The Horn suggested that Scottie be a player/coach for the remainder of the year. Dunno how much that'd work. But, yea, just stick with Pete Myers for this year and get someone next offseason.
