The fact that Del Negro was fired isn't surprising... the timing kinda is though. I could have predicted he was destined for failure before the season even started.
Yeah. Hopefully Del Harris can steer us to the playoffs. Hopefully we can get Avery Johnson this summer.
This is two times in a row that Paxson has fired a coach midseason. I'm not arguing that the move wasn't warranted. But it doesn't reflect well that the level of turmoil is such that the coaches aren't even able to make it to the end of a season.
And it makes Chicago extremely unattractive to coaches. They won't even give them a full season to implement their system. I thought Del Negro was in over his head, but still.... they are in the playoff picture. I guess Paxson thinks Del Negro couldn't get the job done in the postseason.
Now, the critical eye might turn toward Paxson, even though he rebuilt the Bulls at the deadline. Ding ding ding

Now to reveal the secret. What I did, was take the ESPN (I think it was the AP story) of when Skiles got firing and edited it to fit this. I thought most Bulls fans would easily identify this as a Skiles quote, as it's a pretty famous one: and just for added fun, in true Vinny fashion:
