<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Although Kobe Bryant apparently would like to join the Bulls, Chicago general manager John Paxson sent a message to the Los Angeles Lakers' superstar on Monday: Don't count on it. Paxson said he has had no discussions with the Lakers and a deal would be difficult to complete. "What we would have to give up -- unless that franchise would ever have a change of heart and had to do something -- I don't know how that would work," he said. "They've got one of the top, maybe the top, talents in the league. What we would have to do to get there, I don't even know what it would be. It would be significant. And then, are we better?"</div> Source: ESPN
^^ Haha that means that Kobe is staying with the Lakers. Take that you Kobe HATERS Kobe is a Lakers for life!!
<div class="quote_poster">Bacon Smeller Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">^^ Haha that means that Kobe is staying with the Lakers. This would be temporary assurance that Kobe is with us for another year at least.
no one has the peices to get him. the only teams that could get him and still be a contender are the spurs and the suns, and maybe dallas but I don't think they are deep enough.
The Suns could get him but lose their bench. They will still be nasty. I don't see the Spurs trading for him though.
Kobe is staying but he may opt out on us and that will kill us because we won't get nothing for him which will suck.So get help or trade him.But where??
<div class="quote_poster">CLos Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Trade him to Atlanta and make him suffer lol</div> He has a no-trade clause. He can veto any deal he doesn't like.
In the end Kobe will stay in LA He loves southern california and the lakers. The problems is that they havent progressed since that horrible shaq trade. Even if kobe wants out they is no way in heck they are going to trade him. Cause lets face the NBA is a business and Kobe brings in a lot revunue with his jerseys and sold out games. Without him they wouldnt have a franchise

He would be stuck in a way if he opts out. Kobe would be offered much less from conteder teams. If Kobe really wants to win, he's going to have to accept less than what he's used to.
^^ I don't thinnk he'll like that but he does whant to win. We'll have to see what Kobe does. I think that Kobe is going to stay with the Lakers because of the money.
What money? Wherever Kobe goes, he'll see money..probably more in Chicago because they'd go deeper in the playoffs. Kobe isn't about money, get that already, please. He is about winning.
^^No way that the Bulls will offer Kobe the same amount that the Lakers offered to Kobe. The Lakers have room for improvement.

Of course they'll spew out "I'm all about winning". They want cash more IMO.
Lol, you've got to be kidding me right now. Kobe Bryant doesn't lose freaking money if he's traded, his contract stays the same, hell, he gains an extra 10 million if he's traded. Why the hell would he re-consider his position if the Lakers got KG if he was all about money. That extra 10 million is a hell of a lot of money. If he was about money, he'd still want to be traded. Like I said, he gets an extra 10 million if he's traded and the Bulls (if that is the team) will go deeper in the playoffs than the Lakers, resulting in more bonus money for Kobe. Kobe Bryant is about winning, he has always been, is, and always will be about winning. Why the hell do you think he's so pissed off right now? It is certainly not because he's not making enough money.
The main focus for Kobe is to win. He needs some support around him and he feels he isn't getting that which is obvious.
<div class="quote_poster">Bacon Smeller Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">^^No way that the Bulls will offer Kobe the same amount that the Lakers offered to Kobe. The Lakers have room for improvement.</div> Dude, you officially 100% have no clue what the hell you're talking about. Kobe Bryant doesn't have to re-structure his contract, or sign a new contract with the Bulls if he goes. Let me lay this down like I would for a pre-schooler. -Kobe Bryant's benefits him if he's traded. He gets an extra 10 million dollars if he's traded, as a trade kicker I believe. -Kobe Bryant would make more money with the Bulls because the team would go deeper in the playoffs. The deeper you go in the playoffs, the more bonus money you get. Understand that one? So if Kobe is really all about the money, he'll continue his trade demands! It only makes sense for him, because we all know he's living life with a tight wallet. He's in Sprewell's boat, he can't afford to feed his family right now. Realize what you're talking about, or don't post some nonsense like Kobe will lose money, or Kobe is all about the money. His contract increases if he's traded, he'll get more bonus cash if he's traded, Chicago's marketing is the same as L.A.'s.
