I just watched Tim Legler's video on the possibility of the Wiz trading jamison to the bulls and us offering tyrus in the deal. We need help badly, and I know that I'm kind of desperate for the organization to bring in some type of help.

Now I like Jamison, I just never thought he was really worthy of all star votes. I always knew he was a 14-19 and 7-10 guy, I just thought there were better players that could have made the team. Anyway I digress, out of all the possibilities who do you guys think we should go after? Besides trying to trade for Bosh (wish I did see a insider protected preview on an article about us offering kirk, ty and a pick for bosh) what other players do you think we could land in a trade that would help us?

A 33 year old tweener forward owed $30M over this season and the next two? What's not to like?

OK now I see on ESPN that we may be doing the Hinrich, Thomas, Pick deal for Bosh

Expiring contracts! The Bosh idea seems to have been spun up by a Chi-town radio station and is downright silly.

I think there's merit to trading for a guy who you'd like to sign anyway.

I don't see any merit to trading for Jamison, though.

Well, we can do any combination of players it takes to trade for a superstar who might be a UFA this summer anyway.

Why not Jamison? He's 33 years old and no longer can carry his team, and he's seriously expensive.

Thats understandable, but who knows if that UFA will resign with us?

Well, the worst case scenario if, we trade for an impending free agent, is that he'd leave and then we'd have cap space to go out and sign other guys.

If we trade for an older guy who isn't much help, but locked into a long-term deal, we're stuck with him.

What's the difference between letting Miller and Thomas walk so there's enough cap room to sign Joe Johnson and trading Miller and Thomas for Johnson now? Answer is we get the benefit of having Johnson for the rest of this season.

Well, yeah, but at least it is a rational way to look at the kinds of trades that make sense at this point.
