Lately, news about the Bulls has been basically nonexistant, so I'm gonna sum up their off season. Feel free to discuss your thoughts on the roster changes.

Key addititons: Scottie Pippen, Kendall Gill, Kirk Hinrich
Key subtractions: Fred Hoidberg, Rick Brunson, Dalibor Bagaric
    Resignings: Corie Blount

    The breakdown:
This was Paxsons first summer as GM... Jay Williams got in his motorcycle, and the Bulls said bye bye to all those trade possibilities. Paxson then drafted Kirk Hinrich, who will likely serve as our backup PG. Then the rumors started about Scottie. What? Scottie Pippen coming to Chicago? Jerry Krause was gone, so why not? Now, with Scottie, the Bulls have more veteran leadership. He will preach defensive intensity, exactly what the Bulls lacked last season. Kendall Gill was also signed for his defensive abilities & leadership. To make room for Gill on the roster, the Bulls waived Dalibor Bagaric, who will likely play in Europe.

The Bulls depth chart according to ESPN:
PG- Jamal Crawford/Kirk Hinrich/Roger Mason, Jr.
    SG- Jalen Rose/Trenton Hassell/Kendall Gill
    SF- Donyell Marshall/Scottie Pippen/Eddie Robinson
    PF- Tyson Chandler/Marcus Fizer/Lonny Baxter
    C- Eddy Curry/Corie Blount

Jeez, I dunno what ESPN's thinking about. I expect this lineup:
    PG- Jamal Crawford
    SG- Scottie Pippen
    SF- Jalen Rose
    PF- Tyson Chandler
    C- Eddy Curry
Roger Mason will spend time playing SG, Jalen at SG, Scottie at SF, Donyell at PF, and Tyson at C

The offseason was ok but the developement of players like Curry, Crawford, Chandler will make or break the season.

Very true. I still think that us making is going to heavily rely on their developement. Our defense on the wing will likely improve drastically though, which doesn't involve them as much.

Pippen the starting 2 guard, lol! Pip is best coming off the bench for 20-25 min a night, and closing out 4th quarter. He can't start anymore and play major minutes every night, he would break down after a few games. Protect him, you will need him fresh all season.

you are probably best off with this lineup to get some guys experience

    pg-hinrich
    sg-crawford
    sf-rose
    pf-chandler
    c-curry

with a bench of pippen, marshall, fizer, and hassell.

If we don't start Pippen, I expect us to start Kendall Gill. Experience is just what Hinrich needs. Since we'll be making a push towards the playoffs, we won't start someone majorly lacking experience like Hinrich.

Do we really need another lottery pick? Start Pippen and we have a good chance of making the playoffs.

    Well said.

Sportsrock, Hinrich hasn't proven anything yet. Since we're not lacking in the PG area, he won't be starting. You can't have him yet :P

Personally I have no idea why we even drafted Hinrich unless we arent going to resign Crawford which I think would be a bad mistake.

I mean lets think about the logic, what a lotery pick will get us. Some people think that Crawford Hinrich Curry Crawford Fizer and if we get another lotery pick is a good thing. But if all these guys pan out to be great, Do you know how much money they will be wanting? We arent going to want to spend max contracts on 5 or 6 players and no way will have the money. Therefore win now.
