Bulls: Paxson's Priority Re-Sign Curry & Chandler <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If general manager John Paxson has his way, center Eddy Curry and forward Tyson Chandler will be in Bulls uniforms next season. Whether their market values cooperate remains to be seen. Paxson said he plans to re-sign Curry and Chandler this summer, when they are eligible to become unrestricted free agents. However, the former draft lottery picks are expected to seek offers from other teams. "That we plan to bring Eddy and Tyson back is a given, whether they choose to get an offer sheet or not," Paxson said. "I don't want that to happen, because I expect us to sit down and negotiate and get a deal done that is good for them and good for us." As the best shot-blocker/rebounder and inside scorer on the team, respectively, Chandler and Curry are expected to receive substantial offers in the open market. The Bulls almost certainly would match any bids for Chandler and Curry, but if they consider either or both to be exorbitant, they could do so with a trade in mind. "I can't really say that," Chandler said when asked whether he expects to return to the Bulls next season. "It will be left up to management at the end of the season." Asked whether he wanted to come back, Chandler said, "I definitely want to, but (the decision) won't come at my end."</div> Source
Some team always seems eager to pay stupid money for a big player. Curry and Chandler are clearly not complete players yet,but what's the price of potential?
I really hope that they both stay in Chicago, but if we have to choose one or the other, I would rather keep Curry. I feel that the key to this playoff push that we are making has been Curry's play.
If we keep Curry and get rid of Chandler, we need a strong rebound presence. I heard the Hawks could offer something for Curry ($75 million i think it was)
