The Chicago Bulls released reserve point guard Mike James early Saturday, dropping their roster to 13 players again.

This could pave the way for the Bulls to add a reserve big man, which general manager Gar Forman has alluded to as far back as training camp. Leon Powe and Joel Przybilla are two players with whom the Bulls have had conversations to bolster a frontcourt which currently has Luol Deng out.

No doubt about it. He did.

Bump. This decision might have cost the Bulls a loss today.

Rose must have really been tired after plying 44+ minutes. I know my shots lose arc when I'm really tired. Those FTs and the last shot were flat.

Lucas III was schooled. CJ didn't play.

Yeah, Lucas proved himself today as being unable to run an offense against pressure. It's kind of sad -- this may have been his last opportunity to show that he can play on the Bulls.

Yeah, it's hard to see JL III holding down the fort in playoff ball.

He's really more of a Jannero Pargo type, not someone who can run an offense.

Then again, a lot of people would look bad trying to break a James/Wade press.

How bad would that sequence w/ JL III have been if Mike James had been playing?

Chicago is a really young team, they'll have plenty of time to fill out the roster in future seasons.
