The Bulls have agreed to a multiyear contract with free-agent shooting guard Eddie Basden, according to a league source. The 6-5, 215-pound Basden was undrafted out of Charlotte, where he was the Conference USA player of the year and defensive player of the year as a senior. He averaged 15.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.2 steals as a senior. His 93 steals ranked fifth in the NCAA and set a team single-season record. Great pickup. I was excited when I saw he was going to be playing with us in Vegas. I think his size and ability, he will be very much a Marquis Daniels type of player for Chicago. His defense and explosiveness will fit in well in their backcourt. I think with his ability to play point in a pinch aswell he's an excellent free agent signing.
