Instead, Krause surprisingly guaranteed Bagaric's contract for next season for nearly $1.4 million. Bagaric is expected to clear waivers and play next season in Europe. </div>
Bulls Sign Kendall Gill.... http://www.nba.com/bulls/news/gill_030820.html <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Chicago Bulls today signed veteran free agent Kendall Gill. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not released. Last season, Gill was with the Minnesota Timberwolves and appeared in all 82 games, averaged 8.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 1.9 apg, shot .422 from the field, .322 from behind the arc and .764 from the free throw line. He also appeared in six playoffs games versus the L.A. Lakers </div> Soild signing...I guess he will be Pippen's back-up?

Signing with an up-and-coming team that is in his hometown is why Gill, in an afternoon phone interview, sounded as excited as a rookie. "Besides being drafted, this is the happiest moment of my professional career," Gill said. "There are only three jerseys that mean anything to me?my Rich Central [High School] jersey, my Illinois jersey and the Bulls. The other five teams I played for just led up to this." ... The Eastern Conference isn't as tough as the West." </div> http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...bulls-headlines My aunt lives a couple blocks away from his house in Flossmoor.
Slamduncan, have you read all the recent comments by Curry, Chandler, Crawford, Rose, and Pippen..............? It sounds like we are going to have a very good season(compared to last year and previous years)
I've read some.. there's probably some I didn't see. Are they posted anywhere? More on Kendall Gill: http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/bulls.asp?intID=37854100
Kendall Gill is a nice addition to the Bulls. They have improved tremendously on defense with Pippen and Gill aboard and he gives them even more depth in case Rose gets injured. The Bulls have all the pieces to make the playoffs, I still would like to see them dump E-Rob for another big man who can take some of the punishment on the defensive end, so Curry can conserve his energy on offense. Someone like Erick Dampier ... E-Rob and a draft pick for Dampier.
Actually they might want it because it is about 1M less than Damp's contract and they would get a draft pick from the Bulls as well.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually they might want it because it is about 1M less than Damp's contract and they would get a draft pick from the Bulls as well.</div> Actually, they wouldnt do it. For two reasons. Dampier is a good center. Good centers are hard to come by. Robinson plain out sucks. He was a mistake by the Bulls in locking him up. I wouldnt trade Dampier for Robinson and a 1st. GS wouldn't either. And he has a contract with 2 years left. GS is dumping cap right now. A 2 year contract is golden for them. They plan on making a big run at Yao Ming. For that, it will take a maximum salary. To do that, they need to shed cap. Eddie Robinson would tie up 6 million+ of salary, something they cannot afford to do. In the NVE post, I posted about GS's cap situation. They are going to be on the verge of having enough cap room if they let Dampier's expire. If they do that trade; they wont have the cap room anymore. Id love to see Chicago pull that trade off. If we could; it would be great. But it wont happen. It doesn't make sense for GS. Chicago's only realistic hope is that Charlotte drafts him in the expansion draft; or that we can package him with our 1st, and maybe another piece or 2 in a bigger trade. Otherwise, we are most likely stuck with him.
