<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bulls acquired four contracts that will expire after next season as operations chief John Paxson leverages for salary-cap space. Williams still has $25 million and four years left on his deal. Paxson also is likely to sign a tall shooting guard this summer, perhaps Wesley Person, Bob Sura, Jon Barry or Calbert Cheaney. ''We're strong at the guard position but we are also small,'' Paxson said. ''There's nothing I have in the works right now. But we'd like to add size there if we can.''</div> I would really like to get person he came in second two years in the three point shoot out to peja. He is a great shooter who can hit clutch shots for your team. He was good in memphis then sort of lost his stride last year when he was traded to the hawks. Sura also a former hawk put up a few triple doubles last year so he may be a good pick up. He can put up points and can pass wekk obviously since he got those triple doubles last year. Dont know how likely it is he will come to chicago though since him along with either dampier or swift are the hawks top priorities this off season. Barry is a good vetern that can be a leader in the locker room. Also possibly give you a spark of the bench when he is healthy. He was a fan favorite in detroit sort of got lost in denver last season so he may come cheap. I dont know much about cheany so dont know how good a pick up he would be. I think he should target person just because in my opinion he is the best shooter out of the group.
Calbert Cheaney would be the best pickup IMO. He's a veteran shooter, who can make the long-range and mid-range shot. He'd be a good fit in Chicago, though he wouldn't get much PT. Barry would be my 2nd option, though the Nuggets want him back, and I don't see him wanting to play for a team like the Bulls
Theres rumors of a Mutombo for Piatkowski deal with the Rockets...wouldnt be bad, considering Pike is a 40% career 3-point bomber...
I would want to see Wesley Person or Calbert Cheaney in a chicago jersey most, because there veterans and bring leadership to the team. Chicacgo's got talent there only problem is there to young and inexperienced with Mutumbo, Cheaney or Person that would be less of a problem.
Calbert adn Wesley have playoff experience too, something the bulls need. Since the rockets nabbed Sura who I didnt want to see in a bulls uni anyway (you people have to remember one of the triple doubles didnt count) I'd love to see wesley's or calbert's leadership being brung to the bulls. Heres something I wanna know, are the bulls even gonna sign Chris Duhon, cuz I like him and think he should get a chance.
Bring Peja Stojakovic to Windy City.. The Bulls have a good shot to make playoff this year with Peja..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting RetroBaller23:</div><div class="quote_post">Bring Peja Stojakovic to Windy City.. I think he can handle.. Every year, he get better and better.. He's still under 28 years old.. Past is over..

Bob Sura is out of the picture now since he signed with the Rockets, but the Bulls can get Calbert Cheany. He isn't starter material, but has the versatility to play two positions and has the experience to mentor Hinrich and Gordon.

MAYBE gordon, but hinrich doesn't need mentoring from anyone. hinrich is becoming one of my favorite players. this guy is a franchise player for the bulls. he is untradeable. he should be the one doing the tutoring.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Tripl3:</div><div class="quote_post">Theres rumors of a Mutombo for Piatkowski deal with the Rockets...wouldnt be bad, considering Pike is a 40% career 3-point bomber...</div> That appears to be the most likely option for us now that all those players are of the list. Person has signed with miami, sura with houston, and cheany has resigned with his team I believe. I am not a big fan of Piatkowski. When the rockets got him last season as a free agent I thought it was a bad move they should have tried to resign posey first. We all see how that turned out posey did great in memphis piatkowski not so much. He is to much of a one dementional player he can shoot the three, but that pretty much it even steve kerr one of the greatest three point shooters of all time took a shot from mid range and tried to drive to the basket at times. Kowski is just a jump shooter nothing more and if he is having a cold night he could shoot you out of a game. Though I think he will get the ok from the team in a mutombo trade since he is a vetern and with the trading of kato they are looking for a back up center in houston.
